Velo - Mango Flame | 10 Cans Product Description
VELO Mango Flame: Ripe Mango With Heat Behind It
VELO Mango Flame is a sweet tropical mango pouch with a warming sensate built into it, sold in slim tobacco-free cans of twenty. VELO calls it a heated mango flavour experience delivering ripe mango and an intense burning sensation, and prints HEATING on the front of the can beside a flame.
It belongs to the small group of VELO flavours that add a physical sensation rather than a cooling one. Where the mints give you cold and Orange Spark gives you a fizzing tingle, this one gives you warmth. Whether it gives you enough warmth is the interesting question, and the answer is not the one the packaging implies.
How Hot Is It Really?
Less hot than VELO would have you believe. The official line promises an intense burning sensation. What users actually report is a gentle, pleasant warmth that arrives quietly and never threatens to become uncomfortable, and a recurring note of mild disappointment from anyone who came looking for genuine chilli heat.
That gap between the marketing and the mouth is the single most useful thing to know before ordering. If you are hoping for something that fights back, the way a proper chilli sweet does, this will underdeliver and you will feel slightly cheated by the can. If you want a mango pouch with an interesting warm edge that does not punish you, the reality is arguably better than the promise.
The heat is also a sensate rather than actual capsaicin, which is worth understanding. Sensates act on the nerve endings in your gum and lip rather than on your taste buds. Menthol is the famous one and reads as cold; this family reads as warm. Nothing is genuinely burning, and the effect is independent of how much nicotine is in the can.

The Flavour Arc, Minute by Minute
Mango first, and generously. The opening is juicy tropical sweetness with no warmth attached at all, and for the first several minutes this behaves like a straightforward mango pouch. Ripe rather than green, sweet rather than tart, and more confected than a fresh mango but not unpleasantly so.
The warmth arrives around the halfway mark. It builds gradually rather than switching on, sits underneath the fruit rather than replacing it, and stays at a level most people describe as gentle. That delayed entrance is the flavour's best trick, because it gives the pouch a second act at exactly the point where most fruit flavours are starting to fade.
Reviewers who like it call the combination lively and surprisingly easy to enjoy, which is a fair verdict for something that sounds like a novelty on paper. Reviewers who do not like it tend to have wanted more spice rather than less.
Mango is a crowded flavour in this category, and most attempts land somewhere between tinned fruit and boiled sweet. What separates this one is not the mango itself, which is competent rather than remarkable, but the fact that something happens later in the pouch. A plain fruit pouch is at its best in the first ten minutes and spends the rest of the session declining. This one has somewhere to go.
The honest reservations, then. The heat underdelivers against the packaging. The mango is sweet enough that anyone avoiding sugary flavours will find it too much. And a warm sensation in the mouth is genuinely divisive in a way that cooling is not, since everyone has met menthol before and almost nobody has met this.
Mango Flame Strengths: 10mg, 14mg and 17mg
Three strengths in stock, and one of them needs a caveat.
| Strength | Dots on the can | VELO tier | Concentration | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10mg | 3 dots ⦿⦿⦿ | Original | 15.3 mg/g | The standard choice, on VELO's official UK listing |
| 14mg | 5 dots ⦿⦿⦿⦿⦿ | Intense | 21.5 mg/g | The stronger official option |
| 17mg | 6 dots ⦿⦿⦿⦿⦿⦿ | Intense | Not published | Beyond VELO's official UK listing for this flavour. In stock here |
VELO's own UK page for Mango Flame shows the 10mg and the 14mg. The 17mg reaches the market through wider distribution rather than that listing, so we describe it as stocked rather than as part of the official range. All three are available here at the same price.
The concentration figures are VELO's published mg per gram rather than anything we have worked out, which matters because pouch fill weight varies a little between flavours. The 15.3 and 21.5 figures place this flavour slightly denser than the range average.
Strength does not change the heat. The sensate dose is fixed, so a 10mg Mango Flame and a 17mg Mango Flame warm up identically, and only the nicotine differs. If the warmth is what you are here for, there is no reason to climb the ladder for more of it.

Flame or Spark: VELO's Two Sensate Ideas
VELO groups these under its own heading of sensate flavours, and there are two directions on our shelf. Knowing which is which saves an expensive misunderstanding.
| Pouch | Sensation | Strengths | Character |
|---|---|---|---|
| VELO Mango Flame | Warming, marked HEATING | 10mg, 14mg, 17mg | Sweet tropical mango, warmth arriving halfway through |
| VELO Lime Flame | Warming, the same family | 8mg | Sharp lime with heat. The only true reworked recipe of the 2024 rebrand |
| VELO Orange Spark | Tingling, marked TINGLING | 10mg, 11mg, 14mg, 17mg | Sweet zesty orange with a fizzing prickle rather than warmth |
If you enjoy what the flame does here and want it against something sharper, Lime Flame is the obvious next can, though it sits at 8mg only. If it turns out that you like a sensation but not a warm one, Orange Spark is the tingle instead, and it covers far more of the strength ladder.
Mango Flame or Tropical Mango: Heat or No Heat
We stock two mango pouches from this brand and they are routinely confused, which is understandable given both are sweet tropical mango at overlapping strengths.
| Mango Flame | Tropical Mango | |
|---|---|---|
| Sensation | Warming sensate under the fruit | None. Straight fruit |
| Flavour | Ripe sweet mango, warmth from halfway | Bolder and more intense mango, no second act |
| Strengths | 10mg, 14mg, 17mg | 6mg, 10mg, 14mg, 17mg |
| Reputation | Divides on the heat, not the fruit | Genuinely polarising on the fruit itself |
Tropical Mango is the one to pick if you simply want mango and would rather nothing else happened. It also starts at 6mg, so it is the gentler entry of the two. Be warned that its fruit is the more divisive of the pair: people either find it convincingly tropical or actively dislike it, whereas the mango here is uncontroversially pleasant and the argument is all about the warmth. The rest of the range sits on the VELO collection page, with the wider fruit flavour shelf alongside it.

Tobacco-free means no tobacco leaf rather than laboratory-made nicotine. UK VELO uses pharmaceutical-grade nicotine extracted from the tobacco plant, carried on plant cellulose fill. The synthetic description belongs to a separate VELO range sold in the United States.
How to Use VELO Mango Flame
Twist the lid rather than levering it. Fresh pouches sit in the body of the can and the shallow ring beneath the lid holds the used ones until you find a bin.
Set one pouch flat under your upper lip against the gum. Mango arrives first and the warmth follows several minutes later, so do not judge the pouch in the opening minute and conclude the sensate is missing. It is simply late by design.
Half an hour to forty minutes is a reasonable session. One pouch at a time, particularly at 14mg and above. Swallowing your saliva is fine, swallowing the pouch is not. If you are new to pouches, a sensate flavour is a lot to meet first: our low strength collection is the better place to start, and our note on daily pouch use covers pacing.
What Ten Cans Cost
Single cans of VELO run about £6.50 on the high street, so ten comes to roughly £65. Our ten-can pack is £34.99, which works out at £3.50 a can, and the strength you pick makes no difference to that.
Since the warmth is identical across all three strengths, the only reason to buy the 14mg or 17mg is the nicotine. That makes this a straightforward flavour to buy in a mixed pack once you know you like it, and a risky one to buy ten of before you have tried a single can. The rest of the range is on the VELO range page.
Who Should Buy It, and Who Should Skip It
Buy it if you want a sweet mango pouch with something extra going on, if you have worked through the cooling flavours and want a change of direction, or if the idea of warm rather than cold appeals. The delayed arrival of the heat genuinely does keep the pouch interesting longer than a plain fruit does.
Skip it if you want real chilli heat, because this is a gentle warmth and the packaging oversells it considerably. Skip it if sweet fruit flavours are not for you, since the mango is generous. And skip it if you would rather your pouch did nothing beyond taste, in which case Tropical Mango is the same fruit without the second act, or Ruby Berry if you want a plainer fruit entirely.
The official listing is on the VELO UK Mango Flame page, and our VELO flavour ranking sets it against the rest. Nicotine is addictive whatever it tastes like, and these pouches are for adults who already use it.
Updated July 2026. Strengths verified against the official VELO UK range and our own stock, and prices checked against UK retailers at the time of writing.
