The range is almost entirely mint, from a gentle 3mg a pouch to 17mg in the black can, and the cans measure nicotine per gram rather than per pouch.

For years the lightest classic White Fox was a 6mg Spearmint, and almost everything else started at 12mg, a big first step for anyone arriving from cigarettes or a lighter brand. What Do One Paw and Five Paw Mean on White Fox?

One Paw and Five Paw are the two strengths of White Fox Spearmint. One Paw is the lighter can at 8mg per gram, about 6mg a pouch; Five Paw is the original full-strength recipe at 16mg per gram, about 12mg a pouch.

The paw names belong to the maker (they appear on its own US product listings and in regulatory paperwork), and they are the one strength vocabulary on the classic crowned-fox lids. Other UK shops call this can White Fox Original; the flavour inside is a sweet spearmint either way.

How Strong Is White Fox Black?

We list White Fox Black at 17mg per pouch, the strongest can in the range. The black lid prints no figure, and UK spec sheets disagree: the largest specialist gives 22mg per gram on a 0.7g pouch (17mg), while other shops quote 30mg per gram, which would put a pouch nearer 22mg.

Add the American version, labelled 20mg on the maker's US site, and it is no surprise the internet cannot agree. What everybody does agree on is the order: Black sits above Full Charge and far above everything else White Fox makes. Treat it as an extra strong nicotine pouch and nothing less.

Full Charge: The Big Pouch

Full Charge is the odd one out in shape. It uses a regular portion of about a gram instead of the slim pouch, so its 16mg per gram lands at roughly 16mg per pouch, and only 15 of those bigger pouches fit in the can. Who Makes White Fox?

White Fox is made by Swedish Smokeless Solutions in its factory at Enköping, about an hour from Stockholm. The company was founded in 2004 as GN Tobacco, renamed itself in 2024, and also makes Siberia and Oden's. It calls White Fox its signature tobacco-free nicotine pouch brand.

The story starts in a small Stockholm tobacconist, where founder Gevorg Nalbandyan set out to challenge the big Swedish snus producer of the day with his own factory and distribution. Oden's came first, in 2008. Siberia and White Fox followed, and the company now says its products sell in more than 90 countries. It describes itself as Armenian owned but Swedish founded and based.

One thing worth knowing if you read American reviews: the US versions are labelled differently (Black 20mg, Full Charge 18mg, the slims 12mg on the maker's US site). White Fox Nicotine Pouches Review: Our Honest Take

White Fox is one of the most consistent mint pouches you can buy in the UK: clean, properly cold and steady from first minute to last, with a strength ladder wide enough for a first-timer and a heavy user. Its weakness is range. If you want fruit, cola or dessert flavours, it has nothing for you.

We do not have customer reviews for White Fox yet, so this is our own assessment rather than a star rating. The slim pouches are soft and sit flat, the flavour holds for most of a half-hour session and the mint tastes of essential oils rather than chewing gum. The pepper can is the one genuinely divisive product. The Black can is the most interesting, with a smoky, almost incense-like finish that no other mainstream brand really attempts.

Where it loses marks: labelling. Three naming systems, lids that measure per gram, and a flagship can that prints no strength at all make it harder than it should be to compare with VELO or ZYN. That is the job this page, and the finder above, tries to do for you.

Against the big supermarket brands, White Fox is the mint specialist with a much stronger top end. Against Siberia, its own sister brand, it is the moderate option: Siberia's cans all sit at 33mg per gram and are meant only for very experienced users.

How White Fox Packs and Prices Work

White Fox comes in packs of 10 cans of one flavour and strength, and every White Fox can in your basket counts towards the price per can. One pack is £3.49 a can; at 100 cans the rate falls to £2.49, about 12p a slim pouch.

White Fox is not for fruit lovers, not for anyone who dislikes a strong cold hit, and its top two cans are not for anyone below a daily 12mg habit. It also sells in packs of ten, which is a lot of one mint if you are only curious.

• One flavour family. Six mints. Pleasant, but if you get bored of mint you get bored of the brand.
• Confusing labels. Per-gram numbers, paws and flavour names side by side. Use the table above rather than the lid.
• A steep top end. Full Charge and Black are properly strong. Too many people treat the strongest can as a dare.
• Pepper is Marmite. Try a 3mg Peppered Mint before committing to a Classic.

How to Use a White Fox Pouch
