• 13.6mg a pouch on a 16mg per gram can implies a pouch weighing about 0.85g.
• The brand's own shop lists Maggie pouches at 0.8g, which would make the Lite 12.8mg and the Original 48mg.
• Every UK listing, the brand's included, quotes 45mg for the 60mg per gram Original, which implies a 0.75g pouch.

So the honest answer to Maggie snus mg is a narrow range rather than a single number: about 12.8 to 13.6mg for the Lite, and about 45 to 48mg for the Original. Anyone quoting one exact figure to two decimal places for both lines is repeating a spec sheet, not reading the can.

For context on the top figure: at roughly 45mg a pouch, the Maggie Original is stronger than Cuba Black at 43mg, Iceberg Extreme at 30 to 35mg and Pablo Exclusive at 30mg. Who Makes Maggie, and Where

Maggie is the own brand of First Line Pods Limited, registered at Unit 7, Vector 31 Network Centre, Sheffield S26 5NU. The company was founded in 2019 as an online nicotine pouch retailer and has traded as Pouch Line since 2025. It created Maggie in 2023, starting with Cherry Tonic Wine, and the brand grew quickly on the strength of flavours nobody else was making.

The name comes from Jamaican tonic wine. The best known, Magnum, is a sweet fortified wine at 16.5% with a pronounced cherry flavour; its small bottle arrived in Jamaica's dancehall scene in 1999 and it has been a fixture in UK Caribbean communities and in British rap and drill culture ever since. That is the cultural reference the can is making when it says "Original Jamaican Pouch", and it explains why a nicotine pouch brand leads with cherry rather than peppermint.

Where the pouches are manufactured is not published by the brand. Trade listings describe the maker as a European producer, and one UK retailer states Ireland. We are not going to print a country as fact until Maggie does. What the can does say is that the product is tobacco-free, and that much is consistent everywhere. Note also that "Original Jamaican Pouch" describes the flavour inspiration, not a factory in Jamaica.

Our Honest Maggie Review

Nobody has reviewed Maggie on this site yet, so there are no stars on this page and we have not invented any. When customers start leaving them, real ratings will appear on the flavour pages and in the finder above. What follows is our own assessment from handling the range and reading what independent reviewers have written.

The flavours are the reason to buy Maggie, and they deliver on the premise. Sweet Plantain genuinely tastes like fried plantain, which is a strange and impressive thing for a nicotine pouch to achieve, and Jamaican Kola is the one most independent reviewers single out. Cherry Tonic Wine is a faithful copy of the drink, which means it is syrupy and slightly medicinal, and that will not suit everyone. Flavour lasts a solid half hour or so, which is normal for a moist slim pouch.

The weaknesses are worth stating too. Labelling is inconsistent across the range: two cans print the per-pouch figure and five do not, and the gap between the two lines is unusually wide, with nothing at all between roughly 13mg and roughly 45mg. Most brands give you three or four rungs to climb; Maggie gives you two, and the second one is a cliff. The pouches are moist and fast, so they can nip under the lip, particularly on the Original. And the brand publishes less hard information than the Swedish names do, which is why this page spends so long on arithmetic.

How to Use a Maggie Pouch

Each can holds 20 pouches. Twist the lid off, take one out and tuck it between your top lip and gum, slightly off-centre. Leave it there. You should feel a tingle within a minute or two, which is normal and settles; on the Original it is considerably more than a tingle. Most people keep a pouch in for 30 to 40 minutes, and there is little point going longer because most of the nicotine and flavour has gone by then. Do not chew it and do not swallow it. Buy Maggie if you are bored of mint and want a pouch that tastes of something specific, or if you already use high-strength pouches daily and want the flavour without dropping to a mainstream strength. Buy something else if you are new to pouches. Even the Lite, at about 13mg, is stronger than the rung most people should start on, and the Original at about 45mg is one of the strongest things sold in Britain. Maggie and UK Law in 2026

Tobacco-free nicotine pouches are legal to buy and use in the United Kingdom. They are not oral tobacco, so the ban that covers snus does not apply to them, and they are sold to adults aged 18 and over.
