Killa

Leafy garden mint with medium cooling and very little sweetness, which makes it the most legible mint in the Killa range rather than the coldest. The cold arrives behind the flavour instead of in front of it. 13.2mg of nicotine per pouch, 16.5mg per gram, 20 slim all-white pouches per can.

Product Description

Killa Exclusive Green Mint: The Garden Mint, Not the Ice Mint

Killa Exclusive Green Mint is the can you buy when you want to taste mint rather than feel cold. It reads as leafy and green, closer to a crushed garden mint leaf than to menthol crystals, with the cooling arriving a beat behind the flavour instead of arriving first and drowning it. Medium cold, low sweetness, and the same 13.2mg of nicotine per pouch that every Killa can carries.

That is a genuinely different proposition from most of the Killa range, which competes almost entirely on how much freeze it can deliver. It is also why this can gets overlooked. It does not win the arms race, because it is not entering it.

Green Mint Means Three Different Things on Our Shelves

"Green mint" is not a defined flavour the way spearmint or peppermint is. It is a name, and three brands we stock use it for three noticeably different cans. If you searched for green mint pouches and landed here, this table is probably the answer you actually wanted.

Killa Exclusive Green Mint13.2mg per pouch, 16.5mg/gLeafy garden mint, medium cooling, dry and unsweetenedYou want the mint itself to be the loudest thing in the pouch
Rush Green Mint ProMedium band, sold in fivesSofter and more approachable, less nicotine behind it13.2mg is more than you want from a mint
Pablo Exclusive Green Mint30mg per pouch, 50mg/gSharper, much higher cooling, very low sweetnessYou already run Pablo Exclusive and want a mint in it

Exact per-pouch figures are stated only for the two cans where our own product pages verify them. Other brands print their labels differently, and reading one brand's number against another's is how people end up with something three times stronger than they expected.

The Killa and Pablo cans are worth a second look, because they come out of the same building. NGP Empire in Aalborg makes both, so the pouch material, the moisture level and the way the pouch sits under your lip are shared. What changes between them is the nicotine loading and how far the flavour brief pushes the cooling. Moving from one to the other is a strength decision rather than a quality one.

What It Actually Tastes Like

Placement is quiet. Unlike Killa Cold Mint, which announces itself in the first ten seconds with a menthol slap, Green Mint takes half a minute or so to open up, and what opens up is flavour rather than temperature.

The mint reads green. Herbal, slightly bitter at the edges in the way a real mint leaf is bitter, with no candy sweetness laid over it to make it easier. Somewhere around the two minute mark the cooling catches up and settles into a steady medium chill that sits underneath the flavour for the rest of the session rather than replacing it.

Longevity is respectable. Expect the flavour to stay legible for the usual Killa window of 20 to 45 minutes, with the cold fading before the mint does, because cooling agents are volatile and the mint character is not. Half an hour is a sensible limit, and rather less than that while you are still getting used to 13.2mg.

Drip is moderate. This is a moist pouch, as all Killa cans are apart from the dry-format Cold Dry, but the absence of sugar in the flavour profile means it runs cleaner than the sweet fruit cans.

The Citrus Question

Here the sources genuinely disagree, and it is worth saying so rather than picking whichever description sounds nicest.

Several UK retailers list this can with a citrus note, describing frosty mint mixed with a delicate citrus fruit flavour, sweet but slightly sharp. Others, including the most detailed listing currently ranking, describe a clean garden mint with no fruit element at all and make no mention of citrus anywhere.

Our reading, from the can rather than from other people's copy, is that there is a bright lift at the front of the flavour that some palates read as lemon or lime. Whether you call that citrus or simply call it freshness is a matter of vocabulary rather than fact. What is certainly not present is a fruit flavour in the sense that Blue Mint has one, where a sweet berry note sits alongside the menthol as a separate ingredient. Green Mint is a mint can, unambiguously.

Green Mint or Spearmint

These two are the closest pair in the whole Killa mint range, and the pairing confuses people regularly, so here is the short version.

Exclusive Green MintGreen, herbal, faintly bitter mint leafLowMedium
Killa SpearmintRound, sweet chewing-gum mintHighLow

Green Mint is the greener and slightly sharper of the two. Spearmint is the sweeter and rounder one, and it is also the softest can in the range on the cooling axis. There is a real chemical reason the two feel so different despite both being mints, and rather than repeat it here, the explanation lives on the Spearmint page where it belongs.

Where It Sits Among the Seven Killa Mints

Killa sells seven mint cans and names them badly enough that Cold Mint, Cool Mint and Cold X Mint are three separate products. Green Mint sits in the middle of the pack on cooling and at the bottom on sweetness, which makes it the least fashionable and, for a lot of people, the most usable. The full seven-way ranking lives on the Killa Exclusive Double Mint page rather than being repeated on each mint listing. Start there if you are choosing between all seven.

Strength: Reading the 16.5mg on the Can

The can prints 16.5mg. Our own variant dropdown prints 16.5mg. Neither of those is the amount of nicotine in a pouch, and this trips up more buyers than anything else in the category.

Every Killa can we stock runs at this same figure regardless of flavour or line. The longer walkthrough of how to read any pouch label, including the per-gram trap and the brand dot scales, sits on the Killa Energy page, and the strength guide covers the same ground across the wider NGP range.

MakerNGP Empire, Aalborg, Denmark

Denmark, not Sweden. A fair number of UK listings describe Killa as Swedish, presumably because snus and Sweden go together in most people's heads. The factory is in Aalborg.

Exclusive Is a Flavour Series, Not a Strength Tier

Because this can wears the Exclusive badge, people reasonably assume it must be stronger than the Original-line mints. It is not. Green Mint, Cold Mint, Cold X Mint and every other Killa can we stock hold the identical 13.2mg per pouch. Exclusive denotes a separate flavour series with its own artwork, nothing more. Browse the rest of the Killa Exclusive range or the whole brand on the Killa nicotine pouches hub.

If 13.2mg Is More Than You Want

Killa sits near the top of the mainstream UK strength range, and a clean mint flavour does nothing to disguise that. Green and spearmint profiles are available considerably gentler elsewhere on our shelves. Bands rather than exact doses below, for the reason given earlier.

ZYN SpearmintVery low to mediumFour strengths, the gentlest starting point we sell
Nordic Spirit SpearmintLow to mediumThree strengths, sweeter and softer than Killa
Rush Green Mint ProMediumThe closest thing to this flavour at a lower dose

Worth being clear about one thing: Killa Dry and Killa Mini are real ranges from the same maker and we stock neither. Killa Dry runs weaker than this can rather than stronger, despite what the name implies to most people.

Who Should Skip This One

Anyone after a proper freeze. If the appeal of a mint pouch is the ice-cream-headache sensation, Green Mint will read as underpowered and you want Cold Mint or Cold X Mint instead. Anyone new to pouches, because 13.2mg is a lot to learn on. And anyone who wants sweetness in their mint, since there is essentially none here, which is the entire point of the can but a genuine disappointment if you were expecting chewing gum.

Getting the Best Out of It

Eat something first. Short sessions to begin with, fifteen or twenty minutes, and take the pouch out while the flavour is still there rather than waiting for it to die. Because this can is dry and unsweetened, it is one of the few mints that genuinely works alongside coffee or food without clashing, which is a small thing until you have tried a sweet fruit pouch after lunch. Click the lid shut properly between uses, since an open mint can loses its cooling well before it loses its flavour. Our guide to how many pouches a day is reasonable is worth a read if you are stepping up from a weaker brand.

Cans are sold in packs of ten, which is 200 pouches, and the per-can price steps down as you add packs: £3.50 a can at two packs, £3.33 at three and £2.99 at four. Mixing brands and flavours across packs is allowed and sensible, particularly if you are testing whether a medium-cold mint suits you better than the freezing ones. The single-pack rate sits on the product panel above.

The Verdict

Consistently overlooked, and consistently good. Independent Killa flavour rankings skip Green Mint entirely in favour of the cans that hurt more, which tells you something about how these products get reviewed rather than anything about the pouch. If your ideal mint is one you can still taste at minute twenty, rather than one that has numbed your lip by minute two, this is the best can in the Killa range for you. If you want the freeze, buy the freeze, and there are four other Killa cans queuing up to provide it.

Written and fact-checked by the NicotineBuzz product team against the current UK listings in August 2026, with strength figures taken from the can and our own variant rather than from retailer copy. Conflicting flavour descriptions in the wider market are reported as conflicts rather than resolved silently. Updated August 2026.

A note on the numbers: Killa prints strength per gram of pouch material, so "16" means about 13mg of nicotine in each 0.8g pouch. Our snus vs nicotine pouches guide decodes per-gram labels across every brand we stock.
