Product Description

What Is Killa Strawberry Lychee?

Killa Strawberry Lychee is a fruit pouch that puts ripe strawberry in front and floral lychee behind it, giving a lighter and brighter result than the jammy berry cans Killa is better known for. It carries the same 13.2mg of nicotine per pouch as the rest of the range, in 20 slim all-white pouches per 16g can. Lychee is the rarest flavour note in UK nicotine pouches, and this is one of only two lychee cans on our shelves.

Below: what lychee actually tastes like if you have never eaten one, which of the two fruits leads, how it compares with the Pablo version of the same flavour, and which of Killa's three strawberry cans is the one you actually want.

What Does Lychee Actually Taste Like?

Worth answering properly, because most people ordering this have never eaten a fresh lychee and the word tells them nothing. Lychee is a small tropical fruit with translucent white flesh, and its flavour sits somewhere between a very ripe pear, a white grape and rosewater. Floral is the word everyone reaches for and it is the right one; there is a perfumed quality to it that fruit flavours usually lack.

In pouch form that translates to a sweetness that feels lighter and more aromatic than a berry. It is not sharp, it has almost no acidity, and it does not taste like anything else in the Killa range. If you have had lychee in a cocktail or a bubble tea, that is the note you are looking for here.

Which Fruit Leads, the Strawberry or the Lychee?

Strawberry, clearly, and the lychee works underneath it rather than alongside. What you get first is a ripe, sweet strawberry, the recognisable half of the pairing. The lychee arrives a beat later and adds depth and a faintly perfumed exotic edge that a plain strawberry can would not have.

The balance is the thing reviewers keep praising: neither fruit bullies the other. That is unusual in a blended pouch, where one component normally wins within the first two minutes. If you dislike floral flavours you will still notice the lychee, but it never becomes soapy or overpowering, which is the usual failure mode for this note.

It is a sweet can overall, with no cooling agents and no acidic bite to cut through. People who want a fruit pouch with sharpness are better off with Pineapple or Exclusive Lemonade.

How Strong Is It, and What Does the 16.5mg Mean?

The dropdown above reads 16.5mg, which is the concentration per gram of filling rather than the amount in a pouch. Each pouch weighs 0.8g, so the dose is 13.2mg of nicotine per pouch. Compare that number against what you use now, not the bigger one.

FigureValueWhat it describes
Per gram16.5mg/gConcentration, printed on the can
Per pouch13.2mgThe dose in one portion
Pouch weight0.8gWhat links the two figures

You will find this can listed elsewhere at 11.2mg per pouch in a 14g tin of 0.7g pouches. That specification does not match what is in the can: it is a 16g tin of twenty 0.8g pouches. Older listings also round the concentration to 16mg per gram, which is the same product. The Killa hub covers the numbers across the whole range.

Being an Extra Strong can does not make this stronger than the Exclusive line either. Both sit at 13.2mg. Extra Strong is simply the name Killa gives its Original range.

How Does It Compare With Pablo Strawberry Lychee?

This is the comparison worth making, because the two cans come out of the same factory. NGP Empire makes both Killa and Pablo on the same lines in Aalborg, so Pablo Exclusive Strawberry Lychee is not a rival product so much as the same idea built for a different tolerance.

CanNicotine per pouchCharacterWho it suits
Killa Strawberry Lychee13.2mgBalanced, strawberry-led, lighterAnyone who wants the flavour to be the point
Pablo Exclusive Strawberry Lychee30mgSame pairing, far heavier deliveryUsers for whom Killa has stopped registering

Roughly two and a half times the nicotine in the Pablo can, and the flavour has to work harder to be noticed behind it. Start here. Our Pablo strength guide sets out the full ladder if you are curious where that ends up.

Which of the Three Killa Strawberries Should You Buy?

Killa sells three strawberry cans and they are genuinely different products rather than variations on one flavour.

CanLineWhat it actually isPick it if
Strawberry LycheeOriginalStrawberry with a floral, perfumed tailYou want something that tastes unlike anything else here
Exclusive Strawberry WatermelonExclusiveTwo fruits genuinely blended, sweet throughoutYou want straightforward summer sweetness
Strawberry CheesecakeOriginalA dessert flavour, creamy rather than fruityYou want pudding, and you know that is divisive

Of the three, Lychee is the one to buy if you are bored. Strawberry Watermelon is the safe pick. Cheesecake is a gamble either way. The full line-up sits in Killa Exclusive and the Original range linked above.

How Long Does It Last, and Does It Drip?

Flavour runs properly for the first fifteen minutes or so and stays present through a twenty to forty-five minute session, which is about average for a Killa fruit can. The lychee note fades before the strawberry does, so the last stretch tastes simpler than the opening.

It is a moist pouch and it produces some liquid, as all the sweet Killa cans do. Not the worst offender, but noticeably wetter than the dry-format Cold Dry can, which is the one to look at if drip is what puts you off pouches generally.

How Should You Run the Session?

Eat first. The flavour here is gentle enough that it is easy to forget you are holding roughly double a supermarket pouch, and an empty stomach turns that into a bad half hour.

Sit it flat under the upper lip and leave it. Give it two minutes before judging the lychee, since the strawberry arrives first and the floral note needs a moment to appear. Fifteen minutes is plenty for a first go. Our guide to how many pouches a day is sensible covers pacing, and what snus actually is explains why a pouch everyone calls snus contains no tobacco.

Who Should Skip It?

Anyone new to nicotine pouches. 13.2mg is not a beginner strength, and a friendly flavour makes that easier to misjudge, not harder.

Anyone who dislikes floral or perfumed flavours. The lychee is restrained, but it is unmistakably there, and rosewater-adjacent notes are divisive for good reason.

Anyone who wants sharpness or cooling. There is neither here.

Anyone hoping for a strong lychee hit specifically. Strawberry is the lead and lychee is the accent, not the other way round.

How Do You Spot a Fake Can?

Check that the lid print is sharp rather than soft at the edges, that the batch code is stamped into the can rather than applied as a sticker, and that the catch lid closes flush. NGP publishes its own listings at killapods.eu if you want to compare against the manufacturer.

Store it closed, out of sunlight, and in the fridge if a can lasts you more than a couple of weeks. The floral lychee note is the first thing a drying pouch loses, which leaves you with an ordinary strawberry can. Cans are sold in packs of ten, which is 200 pouches, and the per-can price steps down as you add packs: £3.50 a can at two packs, £3.33 at three and £2.99 at four. The single-pack rate is on the listing above.

The Verdict

The most interesting fruit can Killa makes, and the one worth buying when the mints and the berries have started to blur together. The pairing is genuinely well judged: strawberry does the familiar work, lychee supplies something no other pouch on our shelves offers, and neither shouts over the other. Nothing about it is difficult.

Its limits are honest ones. It is sweet without sharpness, the lychee fades early, and at 13.2mg it is not where anybody should be starting. Buy it because you want a flavour you cannot get elsewhere, not because you want the hardest hit on the shelf.

Good mix of strawberry and lychee
Nice fruity flavour with a good mix of strawberry and lychee. The lychee gives it something a bit different from the usual berry flavours. Sweet, fresh and easy to enjoy.

The lychee adds a slightly exotic, floral note
Really enjoyed KILLA Strawberry Lychee. The strawberry is sweet and fruity, while the lychee adds a slightly exotic, floral note. A really nice combination and definitely one I’d buy again.
